A shopkeeper was killed in broad daylight in Udaipur on Tuesday, sparking tensions in the city. A shopkeeper named Kanhiya Lal was killed by two men who beheaded him and later recorded a video of him confessing to the murder on a social media post in support of Nopur Sharma.

Police arrested the two accused from Bhim area of Rajsamand district on Tuesday night. The suspects were caught trying to escape.
Media has learned that the murder took place after a post was made by the shopkeeper's eight-year-old son in support of Bharatiya Janata Party leader Nopur Sharma. Nopur Sharma was in the news recently for her controversial remarks about the Prophet of Islam.
On Tuesday, a video surfaced on social media showing two men entering a tailor's shop in Udaipur and stabbing him. A separate video posted by the two men shows them confessing to the murder and threatening Prime Minister Narendra Modi. In the third video recorded on June 17, and one that came to light shortly after Tuesday's murder, is one of the two men. I heard him expressing his intentions to take action similar to the one that took place in Udaipur on Tuesday.
