Ganderbal, June 11: A woman was killed and four others were injured when a tree fell on a hut due to strong winds in the upper areas of Wangath in Kungan area of Ganderbal district on Saturday.
An official told Greater Kashmir that a family living in a hut in the Machkani forest area of Wangath Kungan was swept away in a strong wind on Saturday and fell under a large tree, killing one woman and injuring four others. ۔ People were injured and taken to hospital. Treatment.
The official identified the deceased as Gulshan Begum, wife of Bilal Ahmed Pashtun, a resident of Wangath.
A police team has reached the spot to assess the situation.
